After numerous works that thickened their current account but did not help to give back the critic please to him, Robert De Niro returns by their fueros in the dramatic comedy “Everybody´s Fine”, on the efforts of a widower to strengthen bows with their children.

“Of Niro he is splendid in the paper and it offers a masterful class of subtle interpretation that seems to obtain without effort”, Pete Hammond said, analyst of the newspaper Los Angeles Times. “Long time ago that the actor did not move thus in screen”, it added on the actor of “Meet the Parents” (2000) or “Meet the Fockers” (2004).
“It is possibly the first time that it evokes a sincere kindness and without ironies. There is sign of the fury and the no anxiety of his better papers, nor of histrionismos. In his place there is quiet and contemplative intensity that suggests all an inner life”, pointed Andrew Barker, of the Variety magazine.
It films, that arrives today at the United States and is directed by the Briton Kirk Jones (“Waking Ned”), is a new version of the film “Stanno tutti bene” (1990), of Giuseppe Tornatore, carried out by Marcello Mastroianni.
“I only saw the original film three times”, said the film director. “It simply did not want to translate it, or to make the same version in a different language. Tornatore would not wait for that of me. It needed to do it mine”, added.
For it the producer remained with the spine of the Italian tape he adapted and it to the present times with a history that sounds very familiar: separated parents and children by thousands of kilometers that, urgeed by daily stress, do not find time to be together.
If in the film of Tornatore Mastroianni he crossed Naples, Rome, Florence, Milan and Turin to retake the relation with his five children, Of Niro (that gives life to Frank Goode) it moves to New York, Chicago, Denver and Fertile valleys, to do the own thing.
Goode, a man overturned in its work so that to his family it never needed nothing, realizes of which as much dedication prevented him to have an affectionate relation with its children and who that now passes invoice to him.
There the personages of Drew Barrymore enter game (a dancing in a spectacle of the “city of the sin”), Kate Beckinsale (an important publicist), Sam Rockwell (a conductor) and Austin Lysy (a recognized painter). Three of them will try to hide to their father one serious familiar tragedy.
“I can be identified perfectly with history”, affirmed Of Niro. “I can understand reason why he is passing Frank with his children, and that is what it interested to me more”, the actor commented, whose calm interpretation remembers to its personages in “airborne magnetic detection Dog and Glory” (1993) or “Falling in Love” (1984), marked by the daily thing of his tasks.
“When you see Of Niro walking by the supermarket with its stock market of the purchase or taking photographies and keeping the camera with extreme care, to people gives the sensation him to be seeing its own father”, explained one of the producers of the tape, Glynis Murray.
Personage of Of Niro, throughout length, will know mysteries lives of his children, that hides facets that did not know completely, like the one of their smaller daughter, Rosie. “My personage creates all an illusion for his father because he knows that he is very proud of which its small one has obtained all dreams”, Barrymore explained.
“In fact it is suffering, but it does not wish to say the truth to him”, commented. The same happens with the married problems of Amy, to which Beckinsale incarnates. “Perhaps we have not had the same experiences that the personages, but the secrets between families, to protect to the parents and the relations between brothers are universal things for everybody”, the British interpreter declared.

And also in the case of Robert (Rockwell), whose musical race is not as shining as it seems. “It seems that these days everybody as soon as it has relation with his parents. He is something common, so this film makes you search carefully in your soul to correct certain things”, concluded.
The positive message of even films inspired to Paul McCartney, who cheered up to compose a song for the final titles of credit: “(I Want To) It eats Home”. “I have three children and when they were younger did not lack in vacations, but when they grow, they have its pairs, their children… and want to spend time solo. Like father, you must learn to take it, so I identified myself totally with the personage of Of Niro”, showed the ex- Beatle.
