The suspense will arrive from the hand of Cameron Diaz, protagonist of “The Box”, a history on a young pair to which a mysterious man offers a box that, supposedly, when abrir it and pressing a button, makes reality desires. Nevertheless, that man also lets them know that those desires bring ominous consequences for people around the world that the pair does not know. One is a work of Richard Kelly (“Donnie Darko”), filled with dark and supernatural elements, that remember the cinema of Alfred Hitchcock, according to the specialized press.

We are in 1976. Norm Lewis (Cameron Diaz) is professor in a private institute and his husband, Arthur (James Marsden), is engineer of the NASA.
They are, in all the aspects, a normal pair that it takes a normal life in the outskirts with its young son until a mysterious man with a horrible and disfigured face appears in his door and presents/displays to Norm his proposal of alternative life: the box.
Norma and Arthur, that only have 24 hours to be decided, face impossible a moral dilemma. What they do not know it is that, they decide what decides, have already begun to trigger terrible consequences.
Soon they discover that they cannot control the ramifications of its decision and that these extend much more there of their destiny.
