And according to my sources, that is precisely what we’ll get a little later this season on the CW’s Melrose Place, as not one, not two, not three but four alums from the original series will convene on the famous complex to party down.

Clearly, Heather Locklear is one of them, as she made her triumphant and bitchtastic return tonight. (Can that girl still rock a miniskirt or what?) And according to sources, Locklear will appear in all but one of the remaining episodes of Melrose’s first season (there are 18 total).

I’m told Heather will be joined by three other Melrose Place alums in the 16th episode… Josie Bissett (Jane Mancini), Daphe Zuniga (Jo Reynolds) and Thomas Calabro (Michael Mancini).

Word is, they’ll all come together for a big soiree at the building.

I’m also told that Heather’s storyline heats up in the next few episodes, so if you found her return tonight slightly ho-hum, be a wee bit patient.

Oh, and BTW? A very reliable insider (who tells it like it is) tells me that the rumors of Ashlee Simpson being disliked by her fellow cast members and ousted by Heather are “100 percent false.” That’s not why she was written out, I’m told. She was always a sweetheart on set.
